I was walking along the beach the other night wearing my O_____waders, casting and retreving a newly homemade, which I had been carrying in my A______surfbag. I was using my S______surf stick and was spooled with P_____braid on my V_____reel. My F____ leader had a S____swivel tied on top. Of course the new plug had one V_____treble attached with a W____split ring. But I digress.

I could feel that wonderfully satisfactory wobble and was concentrating on the wake that it created on the flat, moonlit water, when something on the beach caught my attention. It was a large object just lying there. Could it be? I asked myself as I raced toward it. Yes it was! A 3000 pound Striper just lying in the sand. A new world record? Well, yeah for the incredibly incompetent boat handler.

Beware me hearties, for this is a Striper that'll kill ya.

As my old friend H. Melville said (now I'm revealing my age) "...a sullen white surf beat against its steep sides; then all collapsed, and the great shroud of the sea rolled on as it rolled five thousand years ago."
